As part of the implementation of the BELLA II project and in the framework of the III Summit between the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (EU-CELAC), the first BELLA II Open Strategic Dialogue was held in Brussels, Belgium, on July 18.
The dialogue is part of a series organized by RedCLARA, the entity coordinating the implementation of BELLA II, whose overall objective is to strengthen and expand the digital ecosystem of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), facilitating relations and exchanges between companies, research centers, educational institutions and Latin American and European academic networks, to contribute to the achievement of the strategic objectives of the region focused on strengthening education, science, technology, and innovation.
The results of the workshop held in Brussels are included in the report "BELLA II Open Strategic Dialogues, Brussels July 2023", which describes the contributions made by the 48 participants divided into five working groups related to five strategic axes: Funding Sources, Governance, Role of National Research and Education Networks, Role of Governments and National Innovation Agencies, and Connectivity and Data.
The results described in the report will serve as a springboard for consolidating the process of reflection, ideation, and collective generation of solutions that will be implemented thanks to the sharing of resources and capacities that the various stakeholders already possess or are able to develop.
